Warehouse Associate - 2nd Shift
- Location: Savage, MD
- Position Type: Hourly Full Time
As a Warehouse Associate, you will play an important role in the production of high-quality products by assisting with stocking and organizing materials in our warehouse. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and should have experience operating forklifts. Experience working in below 0° temperatures a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of required documentation to enable clear traceability
- Ensure Inbound and outbounds loads are handled timely, accurately, and efficiently.
- Manage ERP system transactions.
- Communicate and update all relevant parties of any issues or changes
- Put away stock into designated areas within the warehouse
- Pick orders accurately, package them correctly, label them appropriately, then prepare for shipment
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklift or pallet jack safely while ensuring proper safety procedures are always followed
- Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse area including sweeping/ dusting shelves/racks etc.
- Comfortable moving at a fast pace and in ambiguous environments
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager
Required Skills
- Experience with Warehousing, Inventory, and/or Logistics.
- Experience working in temperature controlled settings
- Experience with perishable items
- Proven track record in safe working practices
- Previous experience working in food production environments preferred but not required
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Forklift certification is desired but not mandatory
- Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues
