Savory Oatmeal with Shrimp

Savory Steel Cut Oatmeal recipe with Sautéed Shrimp! A healthier take on Cajun Shrimp and Grits.


  • Spoon and Fork Steel Cut Oatmeal
  • One pound 21-24 count Raw Shrimp (peeled and deveined
  • 1 Tbsp. Olive oil 
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, chopped 
  • 1 Bunch Scallions
  • Old Bay Seasoning 


Heat the Spoon and Fork Steel Cut Oatmeal according to package directions. Heat the olive oil in a pan until it starts to shimmer. Add the shrimp and garlic and cook the shrimp until just cooked through. Add the tomatoes and stir to combine. To serve; in a bowl add ¾ cup hot Steel-Cut Oatmeal, Spoon over the shrimp mixture. Garnish with the scallions. Top with a few dashes of Old Bay Seasoning.
