Analyst - Retail, Mass & Club

Job Summary

The primary function of the Retail, Mass & Club Analyst is to act as a strategic interpreter and analyzer of the 3rd party customer specific data supplied to us by Retail, Mass and Club accounts. (i.e., Luminate data). Interpretation and analysis would translate into effective, detailed, and measurable execution initiatives with defined prioritization and action plans.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the Retail, Mass & Club Sales teams, providing data-driven insights to inform customer-specific new product ideation and development pipeline.
  • Will use tools specific to customer systems like Retail Link, Luminate, Madrid 2.0 and Decision Support to mine the customer data. Pulling insights coming from our performance within our respective categories in relation to our competition.
  • Support Sales Directors and VP’s in identifying relevant gaps, both quantitative and qualitative, with regards to shopper trends, habits, patterns, which lead to opportunity identification and decision-making recommendations.
  • Serve as internal facilitator of any Mass / Club projects specific to the Luminate data, holding those Kettle cross-functional partners responsible to meet timelines and complete said projects.
  • Establish objectives and desired outcomes once opportunities have been discovered through the analysis of 3rd party data. (drive EDLP, Elevate Quality, Improve Availability, Refine Assortment and Drive Digital)
  • Leverage and deliver data to support annual growth goals, S&OP Process and Budget process within the Mass and Club channel.
  • Partners with Sales & Marketing Analyst to develop insight dashboards using 3rd party data (i.e., Luminate) to incorporate into ongoing external customer reports.

Skill Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Requires advanced skills in excel and data analysis and entry
  • Prefer Retail Link experience
  • Requires 2-3 years of experience in Sales & Marketing role and/or data analysis, preferably in the food
  • Advanced project management skills with ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven ability to collaborate with others and work in team environment
  • Strong writing, presentation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to meeting deadlines and producing high quality work
