Sr. Development Chef

Job Summary

Create and deliver outstanding factory friendly innovation to any given product brief. Responsible for updated and new products and innovation, acting as the customer ambassador including customer visits, demonstrations, innovation meetings, samples and information requests. Work directly with sales and marketing to help deliver customer facing presentations by owning the culinary and consumer trends portions of our go to market strategies.Work with cross functional culinary and operations teams to commercialize products or deliver margin enhancements while improving product quality and consistency. Act as an ambassador to "Honor Food" and "Honor Innovation".

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for quality and timeliness of all culinary development stage gates on a product brief.
  • Responsible for delivery of margin and cash contribution targets of innovation projects.
  • Develops appropriate customer relationships and touchpoints with customer teams
  • Builds relationships internally with stakeholders - Sales/FSQA/Marketing/Production/Procurement/Finance
  • Maintains accurate documentation on ideation/recipes
  • Supports marketing and sales efforts with creative input
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and ensure they are incorporated into everything we do and ensuring the wider team follow suit
  • Supports culture of innovation
  • Participate in company projects when needed

Qualifications and Experience

  • Formal culinary training/coursework and prior restaurant chef experience, ACF Certified Executive Chef a plus
  • Prior experience in Sous Vide culinary processes preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years in Product Development experience, with a food manufacturer
  • Prefer prior commercialization experience in food manufacturing environment with solid understanding of how to commercialize products into the factory by creating appropriate processes and training of production teams
  • Knowledge of the natural foods industry
