Shipping Samples Coordinator

Job Summary

 

To ensure continuous and efficient operation of the shipping, collecting samples and satisfying customer expectations. To assist in the management and reconciliation of 3rd party and internal inventory levels.

 

Role and Responsibilities

Adhere to safe working practices at all times

Organize and prioritize pick-samples for the day following quality inspections and procedures Ensure bill of ladings are completed correctly and timely

Ensure all the ASN Transaction has been entered and confirmed in the system Perform cycle counts to maintain samples inventory and materials

Responsible for picking fresh and frozen finished goods orders when is needed following FIFO Complete required documentation accurately and timely to enable clear traceability

Follow the company Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs)

Ensure clean and tidy samples area at all time Record data and Data Entry Manage ERP system transactions.

Communicate and update all relevant parties R&D, QA, Packaging of any issues and customer requests Take instructions from supervisors or leads Any other tasks deemed reasonable and reasonably requested by management

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY Works under close supervision and has little or no decision making responsibility. Position is not responsible for influencing the decisions or actions of others. Position has little to no contact with customers. Position has little or no impact on revenue, actions and results are subject to review or inspections. Decisions or actions have a limited impact on the business typically within a department. Errors are usually detected through routine verification/review, but may result in some work flow disruption or repetition of work.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Position is not responsible for supervising or influencing the actions of others.

SKILL REQUIRED Associates degree, or equivalent experience required. Requires one to three years of manufacturing experience in the food industry

On-the-job training of 0-3 months

Experience working in temperature controlled settings Experience with Quality Procedures and Guidelines

Experience with perishable items Proven track record in safe working practices

Excellent interpersonal skills needed for working in a team environment Goal oriented & well organized

Ability to work all scheduled shifts Basic data entry and simple formatting of documents ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to operate a pallet jack / fork lift

Able to interact and communicate with the supervisors and team members

Passion for food and high quality

Excellent attention to detail

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Good telephone skills Time management Problem solving Planning and organizing Numeracy skills

Bi-lingual preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Samples Coordinator encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Physical Demands/Efforts Work requires occassional physical exertion including some lifting of objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

Mental & Visual Demands Work performed by this position requires moderate mental concentration to effectively execute moderately complex tasks.

Work requires frequent visual effort for extended periods of time.

Work Environment and Hazards Employee works in a manufacturing setting with frequent exposure to heat/cold, dust, noise or other factors that may require protective equipment and still pose a hazard. This position has regular exposure to hazards that could result in injury and loss of time at work. Travel is not required for this position.
