Job Summary
Within the Kettle Cuisine shared services model, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial consolidation, reporting, and overhead spend across Kettle Cuisine entities, which operate on a variety of ERP systems. This team member will work with other members of the Accounting and FP&A teams, as well as with Sales, Operations, and the CFO, preparing reports, discussing department spend, and facilitating the budget process. The Senior Financial Analyst will report to and work closely with the Assistant Controller and Corporate Controller. They will assume responsibility for reporting packs which are used by the Executive team and PE owners and will have a key role in providing financial information and insight to senior leaders.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Department Spend – Ensure that department managers are provided with timely and accurate information to manage budgeted costs. Provide weekly department spending updates. Lead the monthly department spend reviews. Work with department managers to spot issues and identify opportunities for improvement. Prepare additional analysis as necessary. Summarize department spend feedback for executive analysis.
- Annual Budget – Lead the annual budgeting process for overhead spending and people costs. Collaborate with department heads to prepare overhead spend budget proposals. Develop key assumptions in the people budget process. Facilitate management review by developing concise analysis. Monitor and track changes to budget assumptions.
- Financial Reporting – Maintain the monthly financial reporting file in collaboration with the Corporate Controller. Create additional functionality in the file as requested and fix issues that arise. Provide financial insights and reports to support decision-making processes. Assume responsibility for monthly reporting packs.
- Improvements – Consider ways to improve established processes to provide more timely results and opportunity for more thorough analysis.
- Other – Lead and contribute to other initiatives, within and beyond accounting.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Financial and business acumen; knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Strong Excel skills, including V-lookups, filtering, and pivot tables
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact and communicate effectively with employees at all levels including senior leadership
- Bachelor’s degree with business related concentration, finance or accounting preferred
Desired Skills
- Experience explaining financial results to non-Finance managers
- Prior experience in manufacturing environment and/or in CPG
- Experience with BI tools and/or dashboards/use of SQL
- Experience with any or all of the following: Catalyst (EBM Software), Enterprise 21, Ross (Aptean)
- CPA designation

Pay Range for Senior Financial Analyst
The Senior Financial Analyst base pay range $90,000 - 100,000 USD/annually. The listed salary range represents Kettle Cuisine’s good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum and maximum for new hire salaries for the Lynn, MA location only. Ranges will be reviewed on a regular basis. An employee’s rate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. The Senior Financial Analyst position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package and is eligible for the annual discretionary bonus program up to 10%.
