Maintenance Supervisor

Description

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strong safety leadership and ensure that employee’s safety is the primary objective of the maintenance team

Ensure compliance with all safety requirements

Model safe behaviors and personal work practices

Ensure maintenance personnel stay current with all required training

Provide feedback to direct reports through coaching and mid-year and year-end reviews

Manage department vacation schedules to ensure adequate staffing

Review and approve timecards for the department

Ensure overtime hours are minimized

Ensure trouble calls are resolved in a timely manner

Ensure maintenance KPIs are trending positively

Ensure quality standards for maintenance work are upheld

Evaluate the departments training needs and assist in the training

Provide direction in the prioritization of planned work

Ensure adherence to work order process

Facilitate good communication with all groups in the organization25% - Lead the team to execute daily TPM initiatives

Participate in Daily Direction Setting and other meetings as necessary

Excellent coaching skills

Work with all people and equipment across the shift to lead the team.

Involved in all area activities including budgeting, strategic planning, TDC initiatives.

Interface with multiple funtions with the plant, as well as WHQ Engineering, Process Safety, Product Development, Reliability and network teams.

Ensure operational standards are executed with excellence.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications/Education/Skills

High school diploma or equivalent

Food manufacturing maintenance and engineering experience preferred.

Computer skills – working knowledge of SAP, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

Operations experience with a strong understanding of various plant functions.

Strong drive and initiative to make improvements in a variety of areas with a minimum of supervision. Strong commitment to personal development and growth.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills - relies on facts and data.

Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills.

Good planning, prioritizing and organization and multiple prioritizing skills.
