Channel Manager, Retail, Mass & Club

JOB SUMMARY The primary function of the Retail, Mass & Club Channel Manager is to act as a strategic counterpart to the Retail, Mass & Club Sales team, translating growth goals into effective, detailed and measurable execution initiatives with defined prioritization and action plans.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work collaboratively with Product Development & Sales teams, providing data-driven insights to inform customer-specific new product ideation and development pipeline.

• Support Sales Directors and VP’s in opportunity measurement, identifying gaps to ensure briefs are tightly defined to inform solid decision making and seamless flow into Development stage.

• Liaise with Sales team to define prioritization of projects across full project load.

• Draft creative briefs for the internal design and team with detailed execution plan with set processes and timelines

• Act as project manager for any channel specific Marketing campaigns, holding those responsible accountable within Sales and Marketing and to necessary timelines and communicating progress to full team

• Defining KPI’s against each initiative, measuring progress and sales results; reporting quarterly to Sales & Marketing leadership

• Supports annual sku rationalization process, partnering with internal cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate execution and external communication.

• Partners with Sales & Marketing Analyst to develop insight dashboards using IRi data to capture relevant market data to inform corporate and customer-specific strategy and growth goals.

• Supports Sales in developing compelling data-driven sales presentations for prospective clients.

• Assists Culinary team with concept testing through Datassentials Haiku, Food Studio and Menu Adoption Cycle platforms.

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Works with little supervision; work is often not reviewed. Exercises discretion within area of responsibility.

• Advises others within the organization on matters within area of expertise.

• Receives customer questions and responds within prescribed areas of knowledge.

• Position makes indirect contribution to efforts that generate moderate levels of revenue.

• Decisions or actions may have a moderate impact on other departments and/or external relationships of the organization. Errors are usually detected through routine verification/review but may result in some workflow disruption or repetition of work.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Position is not responsible for supervising or influencing the actions of others.

SKILL REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree required.

• Master’s degree in business administration preferred.

• Requires 3-5 years of experience in Sales & Marketing role, preferably in the food industry.

• Advanced project management skills with ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously

• Proven ability to collaborate with others and work in teams

• Strong writing, presentation, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated commitment to meeting deadlines and producing high quality work

• Goal oriented & well organized with obsessive attention to detail

• High level of professionalism

• Thrives working in a fast-paced environment

• Motivated by contributing to the overall success of the team
