1st Shift Sanitation Lead

Job Summary

To ensure continuous and efficient operation of the production line to meet customer requirements in accordance with Safety, Sanitation, Quality, Quantity and Cost. (SSQQC) To manage, coach and develop direct reports to achieve day to day KPls

Role and Responsibilities

Adhere to safe working practices at all times Perform daily checks of area for non-compliance and report them to your supervisor

Follow the company GMP's Knowledge of chemical handling, safety, usage and dispensing Knowledge on cleaning all equipment and set up

Work with all departments to make sure of proper production startup time Work with supervisor on proper documentation Communicate and update all relevant parties of any issues or changes

Help manage, coach and develop direct reports.

Take active lead on training with new employees and temporary labor

Encourage colleagues to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement Take instructions from supervisors. Any other tasks deemed reasonable and reasonably requested by management

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY

Works with little supervision, but work is reviewed.

Exercises discretion within area of responsibility.

Advises others within the organization on matters within area of expertise.

Position has little to no contact with customers.

Position has little or no impact on revenue, actions and results are subject to review or inspections. Decisions or actions have a limited impact on the business. – typically within a department.

Errors are usually detected through routine verification/review, but may result in some work flow disruption or repetition of work.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees the work of others within area of responsibility and participates in hiring, firing, and performance management, but does not have sole supervisory responsibility.

SKILL REQUIRED High School diploma or GED required. Requires one - three years of experience On-the-job training of 3-6 months.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Sanitation Lead encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Physical Demands/Efforts Work requires occasional physical exertion including some lifting of objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

Mental & Visual Demands Work performed by this position requires moderate mental concentration to effectively execute moderately complex tasks.

Work occasionally requires visual effort for extended periods of time.

Work Environment and Hazards Employee works in a manufacturing setting with frequent exposure to heat/cold, dust, or other factors that may require protective equipment and still pose a hazard. This position has some exposure to hazards that might cause minor injury.

Travel is not required for this position.
