CHELSEA, MA (February 2010) - Kettle Cuisine announces new hunger relief efforts with longtime partner, The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB). The artisan soup maker is donating 12 gallons of kid-friendly soup each week to the organization's Kid's Café program, and will continue coordinating volunteer groups to help serve meals on a monthly basis. Kettle Cuisine has been working with the GBFB for over five years and has donated over 14,000 gallons of soup in the past four years.
The Kid's Café program partners with eight area Boys & Girls Clubs throughout eastern Massachusetts, to provide a safe environment and more than 225,000 meals a year to at-risk children. The program strives to be an educational outlet, teaching children about the connection between healthy foods and healthy, active minds and bodies.
