Inventory Systems Manager

Job Summary

Job Closing, manage IC team to close all system jobs in liaison with planning, daily process
Manage Backflush Inventory daily
Manage system write-up and write off
Manage cycle count process and team members
Develop and manage ABC cycle count system based on Purchasing process
Develop and Manage Waste reporting systems with root cause analysis and associated Improvement Plan
Implement inventory recount and variance analysis program
Conduct root cause analysis of variances and implement inventory control process improvements
Update inventory valuation monthly
Update slow moving and obsolete inventory analysis, driving action to minimize exposure
Manage inventory substitution process
Report on inventory variances to supply chain/production team to drive action
Review inventory transactions and perform root cause analysis on inventory variances to prevent repeat errors
Work with production and warehouse teams to improve material process flow
Develop a controlled process for exception-based inventory requisitioning (samples, testing, etc.)
Overall, responsible for integrity of inv cycle count process (quantity) and valuation (costs, exposure, COGS
Develop Yield Analysis program with associated Improvement Plan
Process Analysis & Improvement - Develop process improvements to provide more timely, accurate & relevant information with enhanced visibility such that the business can take action.
Support various projects throughout the year

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelors degree with business related concentration
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills (oral and written) and ability to interact and communicate effectively with employees at all levels
  • Sophisticated Excel user, comfortable in SQL, and good aptitude for system reports
  • Having worked in manufacturing environment within food industry is not required but a plus.
