Kettle Cuisine was started in 1986 with the vision of selling consistently high quality soups to discerning chefs in all the finest restaurants. Today over 5,000 different restaurants, delis, cafes, bakeries, and cafeterias proudly serve over 50 different varieties of Kettle Cuisine soups to their guests. It is important to note that, while our cooking philosophy and the finished product quality are the same, the soups that we serve to Restaurateurs are not all gluten free so if you have a gluten intolerance please ask before ordering.
If you are a Restaurateur or a Retailer interested in serving Kettle Cuisine soups, chilis, and chowders, please refer to the Foodservice section of our website and contact a Kettle Cuisine representative for assistance in getting you started.

Absolutely. We use only the finest all natural ingredients in each of our soups - from chicken raised without antibiotics on a vegetarian diet and beef raised without the use of any growth promoting hormones or antibiotics to cream sourced from local New England dairies that pledge to not use artificial growth hormones. Our goal is to always cook soups with ingredient statements that read like recipes rather than chemistry experiments and that only contain easily identifiable real food ingredients.

Since we do not use processed ingredients like condensed soup bases that are often high in refined salt we have complete control over the level of salt flavor and sodium content in our products. As such, our soups never taste over salted and maintain reasonable sodium counts - especially relative to alternatives.
We also uniquely and exclusively use sea salt to season our soups as opposed to the refined salts found in many other soups. The minerals present in sea salt help deliver a more vibrant, pure and clean flavor and 82 of the 84 essential minerals found in our sea salt are missing from the refined salt. Additionally, since refined salt is manufactured to resist water absorption, it is not absorbed properly in the body and can build up in arteries - natural sea salt passes through the body as salt is supposed to.

All varieties of our single serving frozen soups are certified gluten free.
Our founder Jerry Shafir's daughter Kate was diagnosed with Celiac Disease over twenty years ago as an infant and when the FDA finally announced a proposed definition of gluten free for prepared foods Jerry jumped at the opportunity to serve the Celiac Disease community with great tasting, wholesome, real food offerings.

All of our gluten free soups are cooked in our USDA inspected kitchen in Chelsea, Massachusetts. We have instituted strict cooking procedures so that all of these soups are safe to eat for those with gluten allergies and intolerances. We carefully segregate cooking of all gluten free soups and only begin cooking soups containing gluten once gluten free cooking is complete. In addition, we test every batch for less than 5 parts of gluten per million, which is well below the FDA's proposal for 20 parts per million. As a result of these practices, we are proud to be officially certified as a gluten free manufacturer by the Gluten Free Certification Organization (GFCO).

It was a very hard decision but due to organic carrot sourcing issues we are not able to purchase enough high quality organic carrots. As a result, we have decided to stop producing this product. We will officially stop producing this variety in January 1, 2011. If you are looking for other organic varieties we recommend you try Organic Mushroom and Potato Soup.

Kettle Cuisine is committed to provide you with the best tasting, highest quality, all natural soups. Sometimes due to seasonality, crop variation or changes in vendors, our chefs will make slight changes to improve our recipes. When a recipe is modified, we feel that it is important to confirm and update the Nutrition Facts Panel and Ingredient Information that is printed on each product's packaging. To guarantee that the information stated on the packaging is accurate we will periodically send samples of our products to an outside lab for testing. As a result, the product packaging will always carry the most accurate information about the product that is inside the package.
